On Second Thought. . .

My newest quilt was on the design wall.  I had all evening to glance at it, think about it, critique it.  Having given it lots of thought, I ran back to the studio today and here's what I came up with.

Remember that purple I didn't include in the quilt originally?  Well, it's here now.

I felt more complexity was needed so decided on a border.  To create the border, the purple fabrics were pulled back in, a few cotton prints added, and even a few hand-dyeds I found that I had in my stash.  I am going to add a bit of hand quilting and then complete with machine quilting to add more texture and complexity.
